Honda Connect in Jazz III

This is the factory touchscreen radio, with navigation in some versions. The manufacturer, Fujitsu Ten or Denso, is confirmed by the sticker on the casing. You can identify the navigation version by the small sticker with the Garmin logo.

PIN code or logo that will not disappear

The first reason for enquiries is the anti-theft lock. After the battery has been disconnected or gone flat, the radio shows a keypad and the message “Enter PIN code”, and without the five-digit code it will not let you listen to music, use the navigation or connect a phone. Before removing the radio, hold the power button for a few seconds – on some units that is enough to bypass the lock screen.

The second reason is a startup fault. The radio shows the Honda logo, switches off and starts again, or stops on the logo and does not respond to touch. This happens after data in the unit’s memory has been corrupted, for example during a software update or a change of interface layout.

How should I prepare an enquiry?

Describe what you can see on the screen after switching on the ignition, and say whether the problem started after replacing the battery or after changing settings. Give the car’s make, model and year, and attach a photo of the unit and the sticker with the part number. Based on this, we initially classify the enquiry, and after checking the removed unit we will inform you of the scope of work. We do not repair Android replacements.
