Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers for Honda Civic IX: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Honda Civic IX?
Yes – we repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier from the Honda Civic IX when you deliver the removed module to the workshop. We do not repair replacements fitted instead of the factory systems; we identify factory units by the label with the part number.
Is repair worth it instead of replacement in the Honda Civic IX?
Whether a Honda Civic IX repair is worthwhile depends on the condition of the removed module you send us; we will check whether the factory function can be restored. You get an initial quote before sending, based on photos and a description, and we will confirm the exact price after inspecting the module.
How is the repair quoted for the Honda Civic IX?
The initial quote for the Honda Civic IX is approximate and prepared based on the photos of the front and the label, and a description of the symptoms, before sending. We will confirm the exact price after inspecting the delivered removed module.
How do I send the removed module from the Honda Civic IX to the workshop?
Send only the removed module from the Honda Civic IX; we accept deliveries from anywhere in Poland and you can bring it in person by appointment. Protect the screen and connectors, place the module in a rigid box and fill any empty spaces.
What should I prepare before submitting a Honda Civic IX repair?
When submitting a Honda Civic IX, provide the car make, model and year, a brief description of the symptoms, and attach a photo of the front and the label with the part number. You will receive an initial quote before sending; we will confirm the final price after checking the removed module.
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifier for Honda Civic IX covers two factory units: Honda QY-5017H-A (Clarion) navigation and Honda Connect radio (Fujitsu Ten / Denso).
Which unit do you have in your Civic IX?
Honda QY-5017H-A (Clarion) is found in Civics from 2012–2015. You can identify Honda Connect by the label with the Fujitsu Ten or Denso name and the part number starting with 39100-TV1 in the Civic and 39100-TB9 in the Civic Tourer.
Code lock and freezing on the logo
In both units we deal with anti-theft lockout. After disconnection, battery replacement or a flat battery, QY-5017H-A displays a request for a four-digit security code and does not give access to the radio, navigation or hands-free system. After loss of power, Honda Connect asks for a five-digit PIN with the message “Enter PIN code”. Do not guess the code – after several wrong attempts, QY-5017H-A may lock permanently.
Honda Connect also comes to us with a start-up fault: the Honda logo appears on the screen, then the radio keeps restarting in a loop or freezes on the logo and does not respond to touch or buttons.
What should be included in the submission?
Tell us what message you see on the screen and after what event it appeared. Attach a photo of the front of the unit and the sticker with the part number, plus the car make, model and year. On this basis we initially assess the request and provide an indicative quote; we confirm the exact price after checking the removed unit. We repair factory units – we do not accept Android radios fitted in their place.
