Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifiers for Honda CR-V IV: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Honda CR-V IV?
We repair factory units fitted in the Honda CR-V IV – we check and repair the removed module you send us and let you know the possible scope of work. We do not repair Android replacements and we do not diagnose the car, only the module itself.
Is it worth repairing the Honda CR-V IV instead of replacing the unit?
After checking the removed Honda CR-V IV module, we assess whether the repair makes sense. An initial quote can be prepared from photos and a description, and the final price is confirmed after checking the module and with your approval.
How is the repair quoted for the Honda CR-V IV?
Based on photos, a description and the label with the part number, we prepare an approximate repair quote for the Honda CR-V IV. We give the final price after checking the removed module and start the repair after your approval.
Do I need to bring the Honda CR-V IV in, or can I send just the removed module?
We do not need the whole Honda CR-V IV – send just the removed module from anywhere in Poland, or bring it in person by appointment. OEMatic checks only the unit you deliver; removal and refitting should be done by a workshop.
What should I prepare before submitting a module from the Honda CR-V IV?
When submitting a module from the Honda CR-V IV, include the car make, model and year, a description of the symptoms, and photos of the unit and the rating label. You do not need to know the name – we will ask for the part number if needed; we only check factory modules, not Android replacements.
Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in the Honda CR-V IV covers factory Honda Connect (Fujitsu Ten / Denso) units and Honda QY-5017H-A (Clarion).
Factory units in the Honda CR-V IV
Honda Connect was fitted to European CR-Vs from the 2015 model year. It came either as a radio only unit or as a radio with navigation – you can recognise the latter by the Garmin logo sticker on the casing. The Honda QY-5017H-A (Clarion) navigation unit applies to CR-Vs from 2012–2016.
Symptoms these units arrive to us with
We repair the start-up fault in the Honda Connect radio. The radio shows the Honda logo, sometimes with a loading animation, switches off and starts again, or stops on a frozen logo. In this state it is also impossible to set the clock on the small display, the USB ports do not work, and the reversing camera may show an image without guide lines. Before removing the radio, disconnect everything from the USB ports and restart the system – sometimes the freeze is caused by a connected device.
The second reason for enquiries is the code. After losing power, Honda Connect asks for a five-digit PIN code, and the QY-5017H-A for a four-digit security code; until it is entered, the radio and navigation are unavailable.
How do we qualify the unit for repair?
We check the removed unit and confirm whether it behaves as described. In your enquiry, please give the text of the message or describe where the start-up process stops, and attach a photo of the label with the part number. The initial quote based on photos and the description is approximate; we confirm the exact price after inspection, and carry out the repair after your approval. We do not repair Android replacements.
