Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé C117?
Yes – we repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé C117; we inspect the supplied, removed module and confirm originality from the sticker. We do not repair Android replacements.
Is repair worthwhile instead of replacement in the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé C117?
The decision to repair depends on the condition of the factory unit and the type of damage; after inspecting the module, we will advise on the options. We repair only original units identified by the label.
How is the repair quote for the radio in the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé C117 prepared?
Before sending it, you can receive an indicative quote based on photos and a description of the symptoms; please send a photo of the panel and the sticker, together with the make and year of the car. We confirm the exact price after checking the delivered module and carry out the repair after your approval.
Do I need to bring the car in, or how do I send the module from the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé C117?
You do not need to bring the car in – you send only the removed module by courier or deliver it in person by arrangement; removal and refitting are carried out by a local workshop. Before sending, we will agree which parts to send.
What should I prepare before submitting a repair request for the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé C117?
When submitting a request, provide the make, model and year of the car, describe the symptoms and attach a photo of the unit or panel and the data sticker. You do not need to know the radio model name – we will ask for the part number if it is needed. You send only the removed module.
The repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier for the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé C117 concerns the factory Mercedes-Benz NTG5.1 Audio 20 (Panasonic) unit, used in CLA cars from 2015–2019.
How to identify NTG5.1 Audio 20?
The unit’s data sticker carries the Panasonic logo. The unit is available with and without navigation. A photo of the sticker is enough for the request – we confirm the version from it.
Audio 20 does not switch on at all
This is a fault these units come to us with. It can develop gradually: first the unit switches on with a delay, then later and later, until the screen stays black permanently. In other units, the unit switches on briefly, shows the logo and restarts in a loop. There is no picture or sound, and the drive does not take in the CD. A common feature is the audible fan noise, even though nothing is displayed.
The cause of the problem is a fault in the unit’s internal memory.
What does the scope of repair depend on?
It depends on what we confirm after inspecting the removed unit. In your request, describe how the fault progressed and whether the fan can be heard. Provide the make, model and year of the car, and attach a photo of the front and the sticker with the part number. We provide an initial quote based on photos and the description; we confirm the exact price after inspection, and carry out the repair after your approval. We repair original units – we do not accept Android replacements fitted in place of the factory radio-navigation system.
