Repair of radios, navigation units and amplifiers in Porsche Cayman 987C.2: registration, module shipping and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Porsche Cayman 987C.2?

Yes, we repair factory radios, navigation units and amplifiers from the Porsche Cayman 987C.2. The customer sends us the removed module, which we check at the OEMatic workshop; we do not repair replacements instead of factory units.

How is the repair quoted for the Porsche Cayman 987C.2?

Repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier in the Porsche Cayman 987C.2 covers two factory units: the PCM3.0 navigation unit and the CDR30 radio.

Factory units serviced in the Porsche Cayman 987C.2

In the Porsche Cayman 987C.2 we repair the Porsche PCM3.0 navigation unit (Harman Becker) and the Porsche CDR30 radio (Panasonic), used in the 987 range. These are two different units with different faults, so in your enquiry please say which one you have in the car – or send a photo of the front and we will identify it ourselves.

Other symptoms in the CDR30 radio, different ones in the PCM3.0

In the CDR30 radio, we repair a fault that shows itself as complete silence from the speakers, regardless of the audio source. With PCM3.0, it is the picture: straight after start-up, random pixels, stripes and “garbage” cover the screen, and the content is unreadable. The unit may still respond to buttons, for example changing stations, but without a readable display it cannot be operated. Sometimes the image appears correctly for a moment, after which the interference returns. PCM3.0 also comes to us with resets and freezing on the Porsche logo.

Repair scope and module acceptance conditions

We check the removed module, not the car. After inspection, we provide the price and scope of repair, and work only starts once you approve it. After the repair, we test the module before sending it back.

We repair only factory-fitted equipment; we do not accept replacements fitted instead of them. Before sending it, please provide the car make, model and year, describe the fault and include a photo of the unit and the sticker with the part number – on this basis we will prepare an initial quote, and the final price will be confirmed after the module has been checked.
