Yes — we service the factory units fitted in the Porsche 911 991.1, including the ASK amplifier. We do not repair Android replacements; repair is by post or by personal delivery.

Is repair worthwhile instead of replacement in the Porsche 911 991.1?

How is the repair quote for the Porsche 911 991.1 prepared?

At the start you provide the make, model, year, a description of the symptoms and a photo of the unit with the label, and you will receive an approximate quote based on the materials. We confirm the exact price after checking the removed module and after your approval for repair.

Do I need to bring the car in, or can I send the removed Porsche 911 991.1 module?

You do not need to come by car — you send only the removed module; repair is possible by post from anywhere in Poland. You can also deliver it by arrangement; secure the module in a rigid box, protect the screen and connectors, and pack any additional elements separately.

Our repair of the radio, navigation and amplifier Porsche 911 991.1 includes the factory ASK amplifier.

ASK amplifier in the Porsche 911 991.1

We repair the factory ASK amplifier; the unit with part number 991.645.441.03 was used in the 911 997 and 991 generations. The part number is on the yellow label on the casing – a photo of it allows us to confirm the unit version. The amplifier casing is ribbed because it acts as a heatsink.

Four symptoms of a faulty ASK amplifier

The ASK amplifier fault can appear in different ways:

  • complete loss of sound in a cold car, which only returns once the cabin has heated up significantly,
  • the sound disappears at random for a few minutes or hours, sometimes after a crackle, and then returns on its own,
  • the music plays, but without bass – the subwoofers are silent,
  • constant buzzing or hissing in the speakers, audible even with the radio muted.

With the first of these symptoms, the radio and navigation work normally, only the sound is missing.

Amplifier check and quote

We connect the removed amplifier to our test bench and check whether the fault is confirmed. We prepare an initial, indicative quote in advance, based on the symptom description and photos of the unit with its label; please also provide the car’s make, model and year. We confirm the exact price after checking, and we only start the repair after your approval. After the repair, we test the sound on all channels and the current draw. If the amplifier has been flooded, mention this in your enquiry.
