Frequently asked questions and answers

Repair of radios, navigation systems and amplifiers for Seat Leon II: enquiry, module dispatch and quote.

Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in the Seat Leon II?

Yes — we repair only factory (OEM) radios, navigation systems and amplifiers in the Seat Leon II; we do not repair Android replacements. You send the removed module to us, we check the electronics, connectors and sticker, and send you a diagnosis and estimate.

Is it worth repairing a Seat Leon II unit instead of replacing it?

You decide whether repair is better than replacement after our inspection — we check the removed module and, after examining it, give you a diagnosis and estimate. We provide an indicative quote based on photos and a description before dispatch; we carry out the repair only after your approval.

How is the quote for repairing a Seat Leon II radio or navigation system prepared?

The initial quote is based on photos and a description — when you submit an enquiry, please provide the make, year, a description of the symptoms and a photo of the sticker and the unit. Once we receive the removed module, we check the electronics and confirm the cost, and we carry out the repair after approval.

Do I need to bring the car in, or can I send the module from a Seat Leon II?

You do not need to bring the car in — you send us the removed module only, or deliver it in person by appointment. Protect the screen and connectors and pack the module in a rigid box with padding; any additional parts should be enclosed separately.

What should I prepare before submitting a module from a Seat Leon II?

Please provide the car make, model and year, a description of the symptoms, and attach a photo of the unit/panel and the identification sticker. You do not need to know the radio model name; we will ask for the part number if it is needed.

Repair of the radio and navigation system in the Seat Leon II covers the three factory radio-navigation units used in this model. Each has different fault symptoms.

Factory equipment supported in the Seat Leon II

In the Seat Leon II we repair the following factory radio-navigation systems:

  • RNS310 (Bosch), unit from approx. 2008–2014,
  • RNS315 (TechniSat), unit from approx. 2010–2015,
  • RNS510 (Continental), unit from approx. 2008–2016.

How to tell the problem is in the module

In the RNS310, after a failed software upload, a white screen appears with the message “Software update needed, Please insert download data carrier” or the unit flashes and gets stuck on the startup screen. The RNS315 may display “Please insert software CD!”, fail to turn on, freeze and reset, or ask for a code. In the RNS510, a power fault causes popping, humming and crackling in the speakers, a reset loop, and battery drain when parked.

Scope of repair and quote

We inspect the removed module sent to our workshop. When submitting an enquiry, describe the symptom and attach a photo of the front and the sticker with the part number, because the number allows us to determine which of the three units is in your car. You do not need to know the radio model name.

Based on the photos and description, we prepare an initial, indicative quote; please also provide the car make, model and year. After checking the module, we give the exact price, and we carry out the work after your approval. We repair only factory (OEM) units, and we do not accept Android replacements.
