RNS315 may display the message “Please insert software CD!” or an update screen immediately after switching on; it also comes to us if it freezes, resets, does not respond to the power button or asks for a code. RNS510 has different symptoms: pops, hums and crackles in the speakers, a reset loop after the welcome logo, battery drain while parked, and when CAN communication is missing – it does not switch off after the key is removed and steering wheel controls do not work.
