Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of Toyota RAV4 IV radios, navigation systems and amplifiers: submission, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation system and amplifier in the Toyota RAV4 IV?
Yes – we repair the original factory radio, navigation system and amplifier in the Toyota RAV4 IV. You send us the removed unit – you can send it from anywhere in Poland or deliver it in person by appointment, and we inspect the unit you provide.
Is repair in the Toyota RAV4 IV worth it instead of replacement?
Repair makes sense if, after repairing the original module, the system retains the functions matching the car’s equipment. Before you send it, we provide an initial quote based on photos, and after checking the removed module we will confirm the scope of work.
How is the repair quote for the Toyota RAV4 IV module prepared?
We provide an approximate quote before shipping, based on photos and a description of the symptoms; you do not need to know the radio model name. After we receive and inspect the removed module, we will confirm the scope of work and the price; the repair starts after your approval.
Do I need to bring the car, or is it enough to send the removed module from the Toyota RAV4 IV?
You do not need to come by car – you send us the removed module, not the whole vehicle. Shipping is possible from anywhere in Poland, and you can also deliver the unit in person by prior arrangement; protect the screen and connectors, and use a rigid box.
What should I prepare before submitting a module for repair in the Toyota RAV4 IV?
Provide the make, model and year, a description of the symptoms, and a photo of the removed module with the rating label visible. You do not need to know the radio name – we will ask for the part number if needed.
Repair of radio, navigation and amplifier Toyota RAV4 IV covers the factory Toyota GreenEdge 86280-0R020 (JBL) amplifier.
How do you recognise the JBL GreenEdge amplifier?
The rating label carries the JBL GreenEdge logo and part number 86280-0R020. If the number on your amplifier is different, send us a photo of the label – we will confirm whether it is this version.
The amplifier blows the fuse
A blown 30A fuse indicates damage to the JBL GreenEdge amplifier. It means a hard short circuit in the amplifier power supply block: the positive supply is shorted to ground, so the fuse blows immediately. The other symptom is an amplifier that does not switch on at all, with silence in the speakers.
The short circuit occurs in three situations: after jump-starting the car from a booster pack with a flat battery, after moisture enters the amplifier interior, and when the power supply components lose their parameters.
What does the inspection in service involve?
We test the removed amplifier and confirm a short circuit. If it turns out to be working, the fault has to be looked for elsewhere. In your message, tell us whether the fuse blows immediately, whether the car was jump-started from leads or a booster, and whether the amplifier could have been flooded. Give the make, model and year, and attach a photo of the amplifier showing the label. We provide an approximate quote based on the photos and description; we confirm the scope of work and the price after inspection, and we begin the repair after your approval.
