Frequently asked questions and answers
Repair of Scania Seria P NGS radio, navigation and amplifiers: enquiry, module shipping and quote.
Do you repair the factory radio, navigation and amplifier in Scania Seria P NGS?
Yes, we repair factory radios, navigation units and amplifiers from Scania Seria P NGS; once we receive the removed module, we diagnose that module only. After inspection, we present the scope of work and the conditions for approval; we do not repair replacements used instead of the original units.
Is repair worth it instead of replacement in Scania Seria P NGS?
Whether it is worthwhile is assessed after the module is checked; based on photos and your description, we will give you an initial quote before dispatch. After inspecting the delivered module, we confirm the scope of work and the final price, and we carry out the repair once you approve it.
How is the quote for Scania Seria P NGS module repair prepared?
The initial quote is based on the description and photos of the unit and label sent before dispatch. After inspecting the removed module, we confirm the final price and scope of work, and we carry out the repair once you accept it.
Does the Scania Seria P NGS module need to be delivered in person or sent in?
OEMatic is an independent workshop that accepts modules by post from all over Poland; you can also deliver it in person by appointment. You send the removed module, we check only the unit delivered; before dispatch, protect the screen and connectors.
What should you prepare before submitting a Scania Seria P NGS module for repair?
Provide the make, model and year, describe the symptoms and attach a photo of the module or panel and the label; once we analyse it, we identify the unit. You do not need to know the radio name; if a part number is needed, we will ask for it before dispatch.
Repair of the Scania Series P NGS radio, navigation and amplifier covers two factory units: the Scania AUS4 Basic radio (Harman Becker) and the Scania AUS4 STD navigation unit (Harman Becker).
AUS4 Basic radio does not switch on
No power is a fault that brings AUS4 Basic to our workshop. The radio will not switch on at all, there is not even any hiss from the speakers, and the buttons and screen are not illuminated. The cause is damage to components in the power circuit on the main board – after a surge, for example when jump-starting with a booster – or dampness or flooding of the front panel.
Hanging on the startup logo
The second fault affects both units, AUS4 Basic and AUS4 STD: the unit starts up, but stops on the logo. Damage occurs when starting the vehicle from an auxiliary power source. Reports also include crackling and humming in the speakers and a cracked display.
What should you provide and what does the assessment involve?
Write which unit is in the vehicle – with a touchscreen and navigation or without – and whether the radio is completely dead or stops on the logo. Add information about starting with a booster and contact with moisture. Include a photo of the front and the sticker with your enquiry; you do not need to know the model name. We check the removed unit and confirm the fault, then present the scope of work and the price. We carry out the repair after your approval. We deal with original units, not replacements.
